Traffic Alert: Expect Lane Closures During Route 17K Upgrades In Hudson Valley
Commuters can expect lane closures and reductions along Route 17K in the Hudson Valley during a culvert replacement. The closures begin in Orange County in the town of Montgomery on Monday, Sept. 18 at 7 a.m., said the New York State Department of Transportation. The detours and closures will run between Route 747 and Browns Road and will include closures in both directions and shift to the eastbound lanes, DOT officials said. Hudson Valley Man Nabbed Driving Drunk At 3 Times Legal Limit, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man is behind bars for allegedly driving drunk at three times the legal limit. Orange County resident Jorge L. Tapia-Ramirez, age 46, of Middletown, was charged around 7 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 20 in the town of Wallkill. According to Trooper Steven Nevel, of the New York State Police, the department received multiple 911 calls reporting an erratic driver in a white 2019 Chevrolet Express van on I-84 in Wallkill. Residents and commuters should take note that two ramps on I-84 in the Hudson Valley will be closed overnight due to paving. Hudson Valley Man Nabbed Traveling 103 MPH While Drunk, State Police Say
A Hudson Valley man was nabbed for allegedly speeding at 103 mph while drunk on I-84. Orange County resident Maycholl Perdodma, age 23, of Wallkill, was busted around 5 a.m., Sunday, May 21, by a trooper who clocked him at 103 mph in a 2019 Jeep Cherokee in a 65 mph zone in Montgomery, said Trooper Steve Nevel. The trooper stopped the vehicle and while speaking with the trooper it was determined that Perdoma was impaired by alcohol and was arrested.
