Woman, 56, Killed After Being Hit By Pickup Truck At NY Roundabout
A 56-year-old pedestrian was killed after being struck by a pickup truck in Sullivan County, police said.
The crash happened on Thursday, Sept. 18, around 4:15 p.m. in the town of Thompson, at the Route 42 roundabout leading onto the Route 17 westbound on-ramp, New York State Police said on Tuesday, Sept. 23.
According to investigators, a 2012 Ford pickup truck driven by a 24-year-old resident of Shohola, Pennsylvania, entered the roundabout and attempted to merge onto Route 17 when it hit a pedestrian crossing in the crosswalk.

A Hudson Valley man was convicted of manslaughter and assault in a 2021 rage incident where he rammed his Ford Escape into a van, killing three people and seriously injuring four others.
Orange County resident Anthony Jones, age 26, of Walden, was found guilty on Monday, Aug. 7, after a jury trial, said Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler.

2 In Serious Condition After Being Struck By Car In Region
Two men from the region are in serious condition after being struck by a car while standing on the side of a roadway in the region.
The crash took place in Sullivan County around 1:30 p.m., Thursday, June 29 on Route 17 in the town of Thompson.
