High-Speed Chase Ends In Crash, Hyde Park Man's Arrest In Rhinebeck A 27-year-old man is behind bars after taking police on a high-speed chase and attempting to flee on foot after crashing into another vehicle in Red Hook. Officers from the Rhinebeck Police Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop of Hyde Park resident Christopher Marchant for a traffic violation on Saturday, Nov. 10. When officers attempted to stop him, Marchant allegedly fled from police at a high rate of speed into Red Hook, where he proceeded to crash into another vehicle on Firehouse Lane.
