2 Burglars Flee Burning Home In NY, Caught Soon After, Police Say
Two men have been arrested on burglary charges after police responding to a fire call in Orange County saw them fleeing from a burning home, authorities said.
Officers were dispatched just after 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 25, to a report of a fire at 161 Ridgewood Ave. in the Town of Wallkill, the Town of Wallkill Police Department said on Wednesday, March 5.
When officers arrived, they saw two men running away from the burning property, police said.

Jamel McGriff, 42, is wanted in the killings of Frank Olton, 76, and Maureen Olton, 77, which happened Monday, Sept. 8, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said.

A community is coming together to help a Dutchess County family who lost their home and nearly all of their pets in a devastating fire.
The blaze happened on Saturday, Aug. 16, at a residence on Holsapple Road at the High Meadows Trailer Park in the town of Dover.

At approximately 2:45 a.m. Friday, Aug. 8, a blaze ripped through Rabbi Yitzchok Lerman and his wife, Bina's, Montross Avenue home and synagogue in Rutherford, where they've been since 2014.
