Workers Injured After Torch Sparks Flash Fire At Metro-North Yard Two workers were injured when the torch they lit malfunctioned and caused a flash fire at a Northern Westchester railroad yard.  The incident happened on Thursday, Nov. 7 just before 9:45 a.m. at Metro-North's Croton-Harmon Railroad Yard in Croton-on-Hudson, according to the village's fire department. The blaze happened when two workers lit a malfunctioning torch that caused a "brief but concussive flash fire," the department said.  The workers were taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
