18 Displaced In Poughkeepsie Fire Eighteen people were displaced following a fire Sunday in the City of Poughkeepsie on Eastman Terrace. The fire broke out in the back of one of 10 townhouse/apartments at 6 Eastman Terrace, officials with the City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department said. Firefighters responded to the scene around 11:30 a.m. and remained until 2:30 p.m., with firefighters working the fire, which started in the back of units five and six, from both sides of the building as the fire spread.
