Man Arrested For DWI Following Crash Had 13 Active License Suspensions, Police Say An Ulster man arrested for alleged DWI after crashing his vehicle had 13 active license suspensions. Cesar Infante, 35, of Saugerties, was arrested around 1152 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 15, after police responded to the area of 67 Sparling Road for a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a ditch, and then proceeded to drive into a field, where it became disabled, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said. Area Man Charged With DWI After Refusing Chemical Test A 42-year-old man was arrested on DWI charges following a traffic stop. Ulster County resident William Babcock, of Saugerties, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 27, after being stopped by officers at the Quickchek on Route 9W, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph Sinagra said. After being stopped, Babcock allegedly refused to submit to a chemical test, Sinagra said. He was charged with DWI and refusal to take a breath test. During his arraignment at the Town of Saugerties Justice Court, his driver's license was revoked. Babcock was released on his own recognizance.

25 Charged In Impaired Driving Crackdown In Area During a Halloween crackdown on impaired drivers, law enforcement agencies in Dutchess County arrested more than two dozen drivers for alleged DWI. Between Thursday, Oct. 31, and Sunday, Nov. 3, local, county and state police agencies teamed to increase DWI checkpoints and saturation patrols throughout Dutchess.
