Police Dish Out 13 Tickets In Safety Detail On Route 6 Near Putnam/Fairfield County Border
New York State Police troopers teamed with Connecticut State Police and the Danbury Police Department to dish out more than a dozen tickets during an “occupant safety checkpoint” detail in Putnam County near the Connecticut State line. A total of 13 tickets were handed out by police during the detail, which was conducted on Route 6 and Danbury Road in Southeast, near the state line, two of which were seatbelt or passenger restraint-related violations. Jaws Of Life Used To Extricate Person After Car Crashes Near House In Danbury
A person had to be extricated from a vehicle that was seriously damaged after crashing into several objects before landing just a few feet from a house in Danbury. Hopewell Junction Woman Wanted In Danbury Apprehended In Putnam County
A woman from Hopewell Junction has been arrested in Putnam County after she allegedly had an outstanding warrant out of Fairfield County, police say. A Putnam County Sheriff Deputy observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation on State Route 312 in the Town of Southeast on Friday, March 1 around 7:30 p.m. The deputy pulled the vehicle over and determined through a computer check that the driver, 31-year-old Courtney Campbell, had an active arrest warrant out of Danbury. Three Nabbed For Danbury Home Invasion After Months-Long Investigation
Police have cracked a home invasion/robbery case that occurred in October 2018 with the arrest of three people. The invasion took place around 5 a.m. on Oct. 22, 2018, when the residents were getting ready for work, said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams. The victims reported that at approximately 5 a.m., they heard knocking on the door of their apartment. Two Seriously Injured In Rollover I-84 Crash
A single-vehicle, rollover crash on I-84 has resulted in serious injuries for two individuals involved, authorities say. The crash occurred late in the evening on Monday, Jan. 28 in Danbury. Danbury Fire Dispatch received a number of calls reporting an overturned vehicle on I-84 eastbound prior to Exit 3, according to James Gagliardo of the Danbury FD. Nearly 100 Puppies Rescued After Blaze Breaks Out At Pet Shop
Firefighters along with the help of Good Samaritans were able to save almost 100 puppies when a fire broke in a warehouse attached to a local pet store in Danbury. State Police have released information on the fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred at a senior residence complex late Saturday in Danbury.
