Sexual Abuse Of 3-Year-Old Lands Hudson Valley Man In Prison For 20 Years
A Hudson Valley man has been sentenced to prison for the sexual abuse of a 3-year-old child and photographing the horrific crimes. Ulster County resident Benjamin Santiago, age 28, of Saugerties, was sentenced by Judge Bryan Rounds in Ulster County Court to 20 years to life on Monday, March 20. The sentence comes after a June 2022 conviction of predatory sexual abuse against a child, following an investigation by the Ulster County Family and Child Advocacy Center of Santiago’s crimes. Hudson Valley Man Hid 19 Bags Of Cocaine Near Groin, DA Says
A Hudson Valley man has been convicted of criminal possession of a controlled substance following a jury trial after he was allegedly caught with 19 bags of cocaine near his groin. Orange County District Attorney David M. Hoovler announced on Monday, Dec. 6, Cory Williams, age 46, of Middletown, faces a maximum sentence of 15 years in state prison when he is sentenced in February. Man Accused Of Selling Fentanyl At Hotel, Mall In Hudson Valley
An area man faces up to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty to distributing fentanyl at a hotel and a mall. Timothy Schleede, age 30, of Lake Katrine, in Ulster County, pled guilty to one count of distribution of a controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute on Friday, Oct. 22, according to US Attorney Carla B. Freedman. As part of his plea, Schleede admitted that in 2020, he distributed a fentanyl mixture in glassine envelopes to another person in a mall parking lot in Ulster. The sister of a murder victim in a fatal Hudson Valley stabbing spoke out as her brother’s convicted murderer was sentenced following his conviction. Mount Vernon resident Savion Kirton, age 27, was convicted of murder last month in the first jury trial to take place in Westchester County Court since last fall due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
