Motorcyclist Robert 'Tiny' Eglit Dies
A longtime Hudson Valley resident known for his deep ties to motorcycle clubs and the drag racing world is being remembered by loved ones for his lifelong community involvement. Robert A. “Tiny” Eglit, a resident of Poughkeepsie who also once lived in Katonah, died at the age of 76 on Sunday, June 8 at Putnam Nursing and Rehabilitation, according to his obituary. Tiny had lived in Dutchess County since 1981 and left a lasting impression on those who knew him—both on the road and off. He retired in 1994 from Sheet Metal Workers Local 38 in Brewster.
