Man Throws Rocks Into Windows Of Parks, Rec Office In Northern Westchester: Police A 24-year-old man faces charges after allegedly shattering the glass windows of a parks and recreation office with rocks in Northern Westchester, police said.  The incident happened on Sunday, April 16 around 1:30 a.m., when police received a report of a suspect shattering glass windows at the Yorktown Parks and Recreation Office at 176 Granite Springs Rd., according to Yorktown PD.  Officers soon responded to the office and met with the person who reported the incident. Jeep Jumps Curb, Crashes Into Restaurant In Northern Westchester Emergency responders rushed to the scene after a  Jeep jumped a curb and crashed into a restaurant in Northern Westchester. The incident happened around 3:10 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10 in Yorktown. The Yorktown Heights Volunteer Fire Department said it was dispatched to the restaurant on Commerce Street for a report of a vehicle into the building. Marco Chacha, age 38, of Croton-on-Hudson, was arrested on Sunday, June 6, after Yorktown Police received a report of an erratic driver on Commerce Street heading westbound on Route 202. These 10 Roads Will Be Closed During Yorktown Grange Fair, Tractor Parade There will be several road closures over the weekend as the Yorktown Grange Fair hosts its annual Tractor Parade. The Yorktown Police Department issued an alert advising motorists that at 12 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8, the parade will kick off at the Yorktown Fire Department fairgrounds on Veterans Road, continuing through Commerce Street to Hanover Street, before concluding at the Grande Fair grounds on Moseman Avenue.
