Man Arrested With Glock, Ammo Following Domestic Incident In Area, Police Say
A 35-year-old Dutchess County man has been arrested for alleged possession of a weapon following a domestic incident.
Jesse Stevens, of Hyde Park, was arrested on Friday, March 27, by the Town of Hyde Park Police after officers responded to a Poughkeepsie home for a report of a domestic incident, said Chief of Police Robert Benson.
According to the chief, when officers arrived, they met with a woman who reported that her husband, Stevens, had physically assaulted her and then left before police arrived.

Trio Nabbed After Fleeing Scene Of Rite Aid Grand Larceny
Three people were nabbed stealing from a Rite Aid store, including a juvenile.
Shivon N. Merrero, 30, Ty-Shay S. Madden, 22, and a 16-year-old, all of Brooklyn, were arrested around 5 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 9, by Town of Poughkeepsie Police, said Capt. Michael O’Dowd.
The three were arrested after officers responded to a report of a larceny in progress at Rite Aid located at 3350 North Road, said O'Dowd.
Upon arriving in the area, officers found the suspects had fled the scene in a gray 2006 Mercury Marquis.

Man Tried To Shoot, Kill Three Juveniles In Area, Police Say
A 37-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting at three juveniles from his vehicle.
Justin Haywood, of Denver, Colorado, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 15, after Town of Poughkeepsie Police responded to the area of Innis Avenue near Arnold Road around 3:48 p.m., said Capt. Joseph Cavaliere of the town police department.
The three juveniles were not hit by the bullets, but police did find a stray bullet in an area home, Cavaliere said.

A man who was found fatally shot after the shooter called police admitting to the crime has been identified by police.
Mark Johnson Jr., 21, of the City of Poughkeepsie, was found around 12:09 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, when officers responded to the area of Morgan Avenue after the unidentified shooter called the police, said City of Poughkeepsie Police Det. Lt. Matt Clark.
Responding officers found Johnson suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Clark said.

Area Man Who Allegedly Shot, Killed Another, Calls To Report Crime, Police Say
A 21-year-old area man was found shot to death after the alleged shooter called the police to report the crime.
The shooting took place around 1209 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, when the City of Poughkeepsie Police received a 911 call from a person reporting he had shot and killed the victim, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark.
Responding officers found the person shot, a 21-year-old City of Poughkeepsie resident, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Clark said.
