New Confirmations Bring Number Of Tornadoes In NY/CT During Storm To Six A total of six tornadoes have now been confirmed in New York and Connecticut after the severe round of storms that moved quickly through the region from west to east on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 13. Three were on Long Island and the other three were in Connecticut. Five were rated as EF-0 twisters (the weakest of the six levels on the Enhanced Fujita Scale), due to its wind speed. Woman, 22, Walking On I-84 Median Damages Patrol Car, CT State Police Say A 22-year-od woman walking in the median of I-84 is facing charges after allegedly damaging a patrol car while Connecticut State Police troopers were attempting to take her into custody for causing trouble in the roadway. Waterbury resident Tyara Lewis was arrested at approximately 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday night, after she was asked to stop by troopers several times while walking in the median on I-84 in the westbound lanes near exit 26 in Cheshire.
