Man Charged With Robbing, Assaulting Sullivan County Resident: Police A 26-year-old man was arrested for allegedly robbing and assaulting a 71-year-old resident of the village of Monticello last year. Tyjhe Daeshawn Hargrove, of Brooklyn, was charged on Friday, Jan. 10, following an investigation into the Wednesday, July 3, 2024, attack at the Quality Gas and Convenience Store in Monticello. According to Monticello Police Lt. Mark Johnstone, Hargrove intentionally struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and stole a $100 bill from the victim's hand while he lay on the floor of the store. Man Caught With Nearly 4 Pounds Of Pot In Westchester Traffic Stop Faces Felony Charge A 31-year-old man from faces felony charges after being caught with almost four pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop in Westchester, police say. The incident occurred before midnight Sunday, Nov. 25 on I-87 in Ardsley. State Police stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation. The troopers' interview with the driver gave them probable cause to perform a search of the vehicle’s interior and its occupants.
