A one-of-a-kind hangout spot is about to open in Rockland County, and it's designed for both dogs and their humans.
Bark ‘n Brews, Rockland County’s first dog park and bar, will hold its grand opening on Friday, May 30, at 35 Smith St. in Nanuet, offering a tail-wagging mix of local drinks, fresh food, and off-leash fun.
The concept is the creation of the team behind Paw Pals, a longtime local pet care business. Owner Brittanie, who dreamed up the idea back in 2019, says it started as a community event and has now grown into a full-time weekend destination.

New Cafe Opens In Region Featuring Breakfast, Burgers, Greek Specialties
There's a new cafe in the region serving everything from eggs and breakfast staples to Greek specialties.
In Albany County, Delaware Cafe opened on Wednesday, Aug. 14, at 180 Delaware Ave. in Delmar. It's the former location of the Delmar Bistro Space.
The restaurant announced the opening on its website.
The menu includes all of the typical cafe fare: farm-fresh eggs; pancakes; and toast, along with burgers, sandwiches, chicken tenders, and chicken souvlaki.
Delaware Cafe is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day but Tuesdays, when the restaurant is closed.

Hudson Valley Cafe Serving Up Fresh-Fried Doughnuts
A new waterfront cafe is brewing coffee and frying up hot, made-to-order doughnuts.
Along with doughnuts, Half Moon Rondout Cafe at 36 Broadway in Kingston also serves up babka and coffee cake. Since opening on Monday, Nov. 9, the cafe has also poured specialty lattes, with flavorings like eggnog and matcha, iced coffees, hot cider, mochas and hot chocolate.
On the weekend of Dec. 12, the establishment started serving up cinnamon toast crunch, chocolate bourbon ganache and classic powdered doughnuts and wrote on their Facebook page that more flavors would soon be available.
