A New York man has claimed a "$1,000 A Week For Life" lottery prize.
Gregory Alphonso, of Brooklyn, won the second prize for matching the first five numbers selected in the CASH4LIFE drawing on Tuesday, July 19, New York Lottery announced on Tuesday, Oct. 11.
Alphonso chose to receive his prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $612,240 after required withholdings, NY Lottery said.
The lottery said the winning numbers for the drawing that evening were: 4 30 44 52 55 and Cash Ball 4.

A Hudson Valley man was one of eight people charged in federal court with conspiracy to distribute more than 1.2 million oxycodone pills.
Orange County resident Anthony Mathis, age 55, of New Windsor, was indicted on Wednesday, Oct. 12, in a 10-count indictment along with a Brooklyn doctor, office manager, and two pharmacists.

A New York woman won a $1 million lottery prize.
Hina Iqbal, of Brooklyn, claimed a top prize from New York Lottery's "1,000,000 Bonus Word Cashword" scratch-off game, NY Lottery announced on Monday, Sept. 26.
She received her prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $612,240 after required withholdings, the lottery said.
NY Lottery said the ticket was purchased at Liu’s Deli, which is located at 2061 Bath Ave. in Brooklyn.
Recall Issued For 'Ineligible' Egg Products Shipped To NY
A New York company is recalling egg products that were produced in Italy and are ineligible to be exported to the United States.
Valrhona Inc., a Brooklyn company, is recalling about 66 pounds of dried albumin egg products, the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced on Wednesday, Aug. 31.
The recalled items were produced on Feb. 2, 2022, March 18, 2022, June 17, 2022, and July 19, 2022.

Wayne Murray, of Brooklyn, claimed a top prize from New York Lottery's $10,000,000 Black Titanium game, the lottery announced on Monday, Aug. 22.
“It feels very humbling and liberating,” he told NY Lottery after claiming his prize.
Murray received his prize as a single, lump-sum payment of $6,122,400 after required withholdings, the lottery said.
The winning ticket was purchased at H & A Gas & Convenience located at 4102 Ave. H in Brooklyn, the lottery announced.
