Area Man Threatening To Set His Vehicle On Fire Surrenders, Police Say A man was taken to an area hospital for observation after calling the police and telling them he was sitting in a vehicle doused with gasoline and explosives. The incident took place around 1 a.m., Sunday, April 11, on Main Street in the City of Beacon, said Detective Sergeant Jason Johnson of the City of Beacon Police Department. According to Johnson, the 64-year man called Dutchess County 911 and stated that he was sitting in his vehicle doused in gasoline with explosives and a loaded firearm.  He also threatened to use them if anyone approached, Johnson said.  …
