Man Dead Following Shooting At Capital Region Home A man is dead following a shooting at a home in the region. The Saratoga County incident happened at around 11:30 a.m. Friday, June 14, in Malta at the Northway Estates mobile home park on Route 9. Sheriff’s deputies said someone called 911 reporting a shooting inside a residence. When deputies arrived, they found a man dead from a gunshot wound. Nobody else inside the home was injured. Authorities did not speculate on a possible motive for the shooting or say whether anyone was arrested. The victim's name and age had not been released as of Friday afternoon. 14-Year-Old Charged With Making Active Shooter 911 Call At Hudson Valley HS, Police Say A 14-year-old boy from the Hudson Valley has been charged with falsely reporting an incident after allegedly calling 911 to report an active shooter at an area high school.  The incident took place in Orange County around 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 26 at Pine Bush High School in Pine Bush. NY Woman Killed By Her Own Dog In Backyard Attack A 70-year-old New York woman was killed by the family's 100-pound pit bull that was later killed by police. The Long Island incident took place in the hamlet of Albertson in North Hempstead on Wednesday, July 27 around 1:20 p.m. in the backyard of a home on Terrace Court. Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder said during a news conference the woman's husband came home and found the dog attacking his wife in the backyard.
