Wappingers Falls House Fire Leaves Owner's Relative Critically Injured

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N. Y. -- The property owner of a house that was the site of a Monday fire that critically injured his nephew has been cited in the past for unsafe conditions at the Wappingers Falls building, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal.

Mark Corbin was in critical condition Wednesday at the Connecticut Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital. New Hackensack fire officials are still investigating the cause of the blaze, but said the building's owners have been cited for lack of smoke detectors and other problems at the house, which has several rental apartments within, The Poughkeepsie Journal reports.
