Wappingers Falls 21-Year-Old Faces Drug Charges After Traffic Stop

WAPPINGER, N.Y. -- New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested 21-year-old Christie A. McMahon of Wappingers Falls on a charge of driving while impaired by drugs, and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree on Thursday, Nov. 12, officials report.

Troopers stopped McMahon on New Hackensack Road for failing to maintain her designated lane of travel, according to police.

Pursuant to an investigation conducted by the arresting officer, it was determined that McMahon was impaired at the time of the stop, police report.

McMahon was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance for unlawfully possessing Xanax and clonazepam, according to police.

McMahon was issued appearance tickets directing her to appear before the Town of Wappinger Court on Nov. 24, officials report.
