Two Caught With Crack Following Month-Long Wappingers Falls Investigation

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Two people were arrested by the Dutchess County Drug Task Force following a month-long investigation into complaints of drug dealing in the Village of Wappingers Falls.

During a stop on Route 9D in the village, agents arrested Marlon Stewart, 33, of the Bronx, and Dacia McKenzie, 32, of Medford, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant coordinator of the task force on Friday.

When stopped, they were found to be in possession of a quantity of crack cocaine, Tasciotti said.

Stewart was charged with felony criminal sale of a controlled substance and felony criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

McKenzie was charged with felony criminal sale of a controlled substance and felony criminal possession of a controlled substance. 

Both were arraigned in Village of Wappingers Falls Court and remanded to the Dutchess County Jail; Stewart with no bail and McKenzie with $50,000 bond. 

Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office members assisted at the scene. Additional charges may be pending.
