Three Poughkeepsie Teens Charged In Robbery Of Pizza Delivery Man

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Three teens who robbed and stole food from a pizza delivery man earlier this month, were caught Friday following an investigation by City of Poughkeepsie detectives, police said.

The three City of Poughkeepsie teens, Terrell Jennings, 18, N'Zhari Benn, 16, and a 14-year-old juvenile, were caught following an investigation into the crime Thursday, Feb. 2 crime in which they robbed the delivery man in the area of Dubois Avenue, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark.

According to Clark, the three placed an order by phone at a local restaurant and when the delivery person showed at the address given he was beaten and robbed of both the food and money, Clark said.

After the robbery, the three were seen running toward the Hudson Gardens Apartments at 120 Hudson Ave., he added.

The three were each charged with two counts of robbery. Jennings and Benn are being held at the Dutchess County Jail. The juvenile is being held in a secure juvenile facility, Clark said.

Detectives are still looking into two earlier robberies of delivery drivers in the same area over the past several months, Clark added.
