Teen Nabbed For Damaging ATM At Town Of Poughkeepsie Bank

An area teen wanted for causing extensive damage to an ATM machine at a Hudson Valley bank turned himself into police.

Ryan A. Weatherwax, 19, of Wappingers Falls, was arrested on Wednesday and charged with criminal mischief, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. Kevin Faber.

The damage to the ATM took place on Thursday, Oct. 11, during the overnight hours at the Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union at 2373 South Road, Faber said.

Weatherwax was arraigned in the Town of Poughkeepsie Justice Court and released on his own recognizance. He is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 19.
