The robbery took place around 11:30 p.m. when a light-skinned male walked into the Gulf gas station on Route 9 and displayed a handgun and demanded money, said Capt. John Watterson.
After getting about $300 from the clerk, the man left the store on foot. When police arrived on the scene, the man was gone and a K-9 track did not pick up his scent.
The clerk was uninjured during the robbery.
The man is described as being 5-foot-9, with a skinny build, wearing a black-hooded sweatshirt and armed with a black pistol, Watterson said.
He was last seen leaving the station on foot heading north on Route 9D.
