In the meantime, 14 people displaced have been given temporary shelter, food and clothing by the Mid-Hudson Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, The Poughkeepsie Journal says.
The investigation continues into what started the fire, which apparently blocked a stairway and forced a mother and son to jump from the second-floor.
The Poughkeepsie Journal reports that the status of the mother and son, who were airlifted to Westchester Medical Center, was unknown as of Saturday night. Two other people were treated for smoke inhalation and released.
