Poughkeepsie Police Unit Recovers Crack, $3K During Warrant Search

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. --  A Poughkeepsie man was busted for possession of crack cocaine by members of the City of Poughkeepsie Police Department Neighborhood Recovery Unit during the execution of a search warrant.

The unit served the warrant, with help from the New York State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team at 94 Winnikee Ave., after receiving information into illegal drug sales at that location, said Sgt.Terrence Beam.

During the search, Theodore H. Twyman, 55, was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, Beam said.

As a result of the investigation, officers seized approximately 2.5 grams of crack cocaine and $3,789 in cash.
