Poughkeepsie Man Charged With Petty Larceny

ULSTER, N.Y. -- A Poughkeepsie man was charged with misdemeanor petty larceny by the Ulster Police Department after he was accused of shoplifting, according to authorities.

According to police, Herling A. Castro-Depez, 27, of Market Street, was arrested Jan. 11 after police responded to the Wal-Mart store for a shoplifting complaint after store surveillance showed someone stealing $576.68 worth of merchandise and leaving the store without paying, police said.

Castro-Depez was released with an appearance ticket, police said.
