Poughkeepsie K-9 Sniffs Out Burglary Suspects Hiding Under Tarp

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- A pair of burglary suspects who tried to avoid arrest in Poughkeepsie Thursday were no match for one four-footed “officer,” according to a report by Time Warner Cable News.

Police were called to a home on Fair Way by a homeowner who said two men had just broken into his home, Time Warner Cable News reported.

According to town of Poughkeepsie police, K-9 Kyle tracked the two men through a wooded area and found them cowering under a large tarp.

Freddy-Yovanny Ruiz-Garcia and Syrus-Edwing Pena-Guerra are now facing burglary charges, the Time Warner Cable News story said.
