Tajanae A. Kingwood, 20, was originally charged when troopers responded to a Wappinger residence for a reported domestic dispute, state police said.

A subsequent interview revealed that Kingwood had cut the victim with a kitchen knife following a verbal dispute. The victim refused medical treatment on scene, but later went to a nearby treatment facility where he received sutures on his forearm, state police said.

Kingwood was charged with aggravated criminal contempt when it was discovered she had violated an active court order of protection by having physical contact with the victim.

She is being held at the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $3,000 cash bail. She is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 12.
