Pedestrian Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Multi-Vehicle Poughkeepsie Crash

A pedestrian has suffered life-threatening injuries in a crash at a busy intersection in the City of Poughkeepsie.

The crash occurred on the westbound arterial at North Hamilton Street at approximately 1:10 pm Monday, June 24, Captain John Watterson of the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office said.

The crash also involved a bicyclist, Watterson said.

The arterial was closed for approximately five hours due to the investigation and has been reopened.

Anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has any information about it is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 845-486-3820.
