Nine From Dutchess Charged With DWI In State Police Stops

Several area residents were among nearly two dozen motorists taken off the roads by New York State Police troopers for alleged impaired driving

On Friday, Feb. 8, State Police from Rhinebeck arrested Kevin P. McHugh, 50, of Rhinebeck, for DWI. He was traveling on Route 308 in Rhinebeck, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
On Friday, Feb. 8, State Police from Wappinger arrested Eugene B. Hickey, 58, of Wappingers Falls, for DWI. He was traveling on Myers Corners Road in Wappinger, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
On Saturday, Feb. 9, State Police from Wappinger arrested Philip M. Decandia, 31, of Fishkill, for DWI. He was traveling on Osborne Hill Road in Fishkill, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
On Saturday, Feb. 9, State Police from Brewster arrested Jose Negron, 53, of Poughkeepsie, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in East Fishkill, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
On Saturday, Feb. 9, State Police from Wappinger arrested Bruce Markel, 72, of Pleasant Valley, for DWI. He was traveling on Noxon Road in Lagrange, when he was interviewed during a DWI safety road check. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

The investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and she was subsequently arrested.
On Sunday, Feb. 10, State Police from Stormville arrested Brian A. Mandrew Prendergas, 23, of Beekman, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam Valley, when he was involved in a one-car motor vehicle crash. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

On Friday, Feb. 8, State Police from Somers arrested Carlos J. Totten, 40, of Carmel, for DWI. He was traveling on I-684 in Bedford, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.
On Saturday, Feb. 9, State Police from Stormville arrested Steven G. McClymont, 49, of Putnam Valley, for DWI. He was traveling on the Taconic State Parkway in Yorktown, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

Rockland County

On Feb. 10, State Police from Brewster arrested Erica Borrero, 36, of Spring Valley, for DWI. He was traveling on I-84 in Southeast, when his vehicle became disabled. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol, and he was subsequently arrested.

Fairfield County

On Sunday, Feb. 10, State Police from Brewster arrested Lydia A. Stolfi, 32, of New Fairfield, for DWI. She was traveling on Route 22 in Southeast, when she was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that she was impaired by alcohol, and she was subsequently arrested.
On Sunday, Feb. 10, State Police from Brewster arrested Francisco Fernandez Argueta, 26, of Danbury, for Aggravated DWI Leandra’s Law. He was traveling on Danbury Road in Southeast, when he was stopped for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The investigation revealed that he was impaired by alcohol with a child in the vehicle, and he was subsequently arrested.
