He is due back in Wappinger Town Court at 3 p.m., Feb. 26.
It all started Feb. 10 when New York State Police were called to investigate a burglary at a Wappinger house. Victims told police that their 2014 Mercedes Benz was missing from their detached garage, police said.
The car keys, which were kept inside of the house, were also missing, police said. Troopers found the missing Mercedes in the Hudson Plaza parking lot, unoccupied and with significant damage.
The arrest came after a detailed investigation conducted by members of the State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the uniformed force, police said.
