On Wednesday, Jan, 16, the Dutchess County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on Scarborough Lane in the Town of Wappinger, said Frank Tasciotti, assistant coordinator of the task force.

The search warrant was a result of an investigation into narcotics sales taking place at and around that location, he said.

Taken into custody during the search was Justin Deines, 30, of the Town of Wappinger.

During the search, officers seized more than an ounce of cocaine, prescription oxycodone pills, prescription Xanax pills, scales, and packaging materials were located. Also seized was more than $1,200 in cash.

Deines was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance.

He is being held at the Dutchess County Jail on $100,000 bail.

Additional charges may be pending, Tasciotti said.

Assisting at the scene were the Dutchess County Sheriff Emergency Services Unit and Dutchess County Sheriff Patrol Division.
