POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Myron Doyl, of Poughkeepsie, died on March 16. He was 85.
Doyl was born on June 23, 1931 to the late Myron Doyl Sr and Frances Cartwright. He attended Poughkeepsie Schools and worked for Western Printing for more than 30 years until they closed. He enjoyed flying around Ulster and Dutchess Counties. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and woodworking.
He is survived by his current wife Ann Daniele, his daughter Helen (Daniel) Bruce of East Fishkill, step children; Gennaro (Julie) of Springfield, Thomas (Chrissy) of GA, Raymond (Sue) of Austin and Louisa Daniele of FL, grandchildren; David Porteous (Jacki) of Hopewell Jct, Kathyrn (Richard) Chase of San Antonio, Richard (Stefanie) Doyl Jr of Naples and several nieces, nephews, cousins, great-grandchildren and step-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, March 22, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Joseph J. Darrow Sr. Funeral Home, Inc. 39 S. Hamilton St., Poughkeepsie.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, March 23, at 11am in Union Cemetery, Route 9G in Hyde Park.
