Winning $50,000 Powerball Ticket Sold In Hopewell Junction

HOPEWELL JUNCTION, N.Y. — State Lottery officials said a winning Powerball ticket was sold on Saturday at the Sunoco gas station at 1113 Route 82 in Hopewell Junction.

The Powerball winner has not come forward to claim the third-place prize worth $50,000.

The winning numbers for the Aug. 6 drawing, according to the New York Lottery, were 20-33-36-47-52 with the Powerball of 12.

To win the third prize of $50,000, the unidentified player matched four of the five numbers plus the Power Ball.

There were a total of 40,649 Powerball winners in New York state for the Aug. 6 drawing.

Tickets expire one year after the game’s drawing.The winners may claim the tickets at any of the Lottery’s Customer Service Centers statewide, including the Lottery’s Fishkill office at 18 Westage Business Center, Hudson Valley Towne Center, Suite 6, Fishkill or at Empire City Casino at Yonkers Raceway.
