Thousands of Old Dutchess County Records Now Available Online

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- Forget about running to the clerk's office or courthouse for copies of some of Dutchess County's earliest records, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Dutchess County Clerk Bradford Kendall and county Historian William Tatum have uploaded more than 12,000 pages of the oldest court archives to the county's website.

Thanks to the hard work and hours of time by Clerk Bradford Kendall and county Historian William Tatum, more than 12,000 pages of the court's oldest archives have been uploaded to the county's website, said the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Called, the Ancient Documents Portal, the site allows the public to view historic documents and photos at no cost, added the Poughkeepsie Journal.
