The jogger, a woman whose name has not been released, suffered deep wounds that required more than 100 stitches when the animals attacked her on Dec. 30, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal.

She testified that she suffered nerve damage in her leg and is unable to walk without the aid of a walker, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal.

State law allows for animals involved in unprovoked attacks to be put to death. Still, Jessica South, owner of Tank and Gemma, pleaded for the animals' lives, according to The Poughkeepsie Journal.
