Palen Road In East Fishkill Will Close Overnight For Bridge Work

EAST FISHKILL, N.Y. — Palen Road in East Fishkill will close overnight tomorrow due to work on Bridge E-9, according to the Dutchess County Department of Public Works.

Palen Road, or County Road 31, will close Wednesday, Nov. 18 at approximately 9 p.m. and reopen at 5 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19. New beams will be installed on one side of the Bridge E-9 as part of ongoing rehabilitation work.

When Palen Road reopens, Bridge E-9 will be reduced to one-lane of traffic through the use of a controlled traffic signal.

The county DPW anticipates Palen Road will require one additional road closure over the course of the repair project, again scheduled overnight.
