The project, which is set to begin about 10 p.m. Saturday and end about 6 a.m. Sunday, will require that westbound drivers wishing to head south on I-684 be detoured onto northbound Route 684/22 before taking Exit 10 (Route 6/202) westbound. Drivers can then make a right turn to re-enter I-684 south, according to the DOT.
Traffic delays in the area are likely, officials said, adding that inclement weather may push back the project's completion.
The DOT asks that drivers use caution when traveling through the work zone area and pay particular attention to all traffic control devices, including signs and flaggers.
