The boat, which was anchored at the end of the dock was engulfed when firefighters arrived, said Chief Jeff Renihan.
Due to the lack of water on the dock, the fire department used the department's marine unit to put out the flames, he said.
The boater received first- and second-degree burns and was airlifted to Westchester Hospital for treatment, Renihan added.
The boat was a total loss, he said.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the blaze.
