National Park Service To Renovate Roosevelt's Hyde Park Home Garden

HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Plans to restore the garden and rehabilitate the pool at the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt National Historic Site are among 69 projects in 63 parks slated for a National Park Service $15 million expenditure, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

The FDR site pool is where British Prime Minister Winston Churchill swam while visiting and where President Franklin D. Roosevelt played in the garden when he was growing up, said the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Roosevelt is a native and lived in Hyde Park, where he is buried.
