ID Released For Woman Found Dead In Town Of Poughkeepsie

Meltzer was found after police received a call about 4:50 p.m. for a welfare check at the Hudson Harbour Apartments on South Road, said Lt. Gary Hulbert.

When officers arrived they found a man inside the apartment, as well Meltzer, Hulbert said.

According to Hulbert, the unidentified man, who is being held, and Meltzer were acquaintances.

Officers have been on the scene since the discovery and are being assisted by the New York State Police, the City of Poughkeepsie Police and the Dutchess County District Attorney's Office.
