At approximately 2:30 p.m., a Honda Civic was traveling west on Noxon Road in LaGrange when the driver lost control of the vehicle, traveling over the northern shoulder of the roadway before striking several trees and coming to a half, police spokeswoman Trooper Melissa McMorris said on Friday.
It has not been determined what caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.
Police said that one of the occupants sitting in the rear passenger seats was ejected from the vehicle. All four were transported to the MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie. The driver and a rear-seat passenger remain hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. The other two passengers have been treated and released.
