Fishkill Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Accident

FISHKILL, N.Y. – Fishkill police are still investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred Monday afternoon, according to the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Louis Sordi, 54, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle north of Route 9 when he crossed over the double-yellow line and hit the front of a Ford van, the Journal said.

Sordi suffered serious injuries and later was pronounced dead at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh, reported the Poughkeepsie Journal.

Police said there were no indications that drugs or alcohol were involved in the crash, the Journal noted.
