At the Dutchess County War Memorial in Poughkeepsie Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro and Retired US Navy officer Nelson Eddy Rivera, now Director of the Dutchess County’s Division of Veterans Services, will be at the Dutchess County War Memorial on Wednesday, November 11th at 11 a.m.
The Dutchess County War Memorial is located at the John K. Rinaldi Memorial Park at the intersection of Raymond Avenue and Main Street in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
This will be the first time Dutchess County will host this annual event since the ownership of the memorial was transferred to the County from the Dutchess County War Memorial Committee, which faithfully maintained the site since its original dedication nearly 30 years ago.
In addition to the November 11th event at the Dutchess County War Memorial, local municipalities throughout the county will host Veterans Day ceremonies to honor and remember.
