Dutchess County Hosts State Preparedness Training Session

DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. - In the wake of the attacks in Paris two weeks ago, hundreds turned out for a Citizen Preparedness Training at Dutchess Community College Tuesday night.

Some 300 residents attended the session learning how to "Prepare, Respond, Recover" when disaster strikes.

The session was two hours, and was intended for residents to have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions.

Each family who participated received a free Citizen Preparedness Corps Response Starter Kit. 

The State is offering courses for residents to have the tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster, respond accordingly and recover as quickly as possible to pre-disaster conditions. Courses will be offered on multiple dates and locations around the state.
