County Executive Marc Molinaro tweeted this week that a proposal by Ithaca Mayor Svante Myrick to open a clinic, where addicts will be monitored as they shoot up, was not only unworkable, but dangerous, the Time Warner Cable News reported.

Dutchess County is fighting the opioid epidemic by offering users a support system that will help them battle their addiction, not enable it, Molinaro tweeted, the Time Warner Cable News story said.
