Douglas Kelsey, 36, of the Town of Poughkeepsie, was sentenced as a second felony offender to an indeterminate term in state prison of 1.5 to three years. Kelsey plead guilty Sept. 1 to a charge of third-degree burglary, a class D felony. Judge Forman issued a permanent order of protection on behalf of the victims, ordered restitution to be paid and imposed the mandatory surcharge of $375, poughkeepsiejournal.com said.
Forman also sentenced John Earley, 46, of the City of Poughkeepsie, as a second felony offender, to a term in state prison of 15 years with five years of post-release supervision. Earley plead guilty to first-degree robbery, a class B felony, on Sept. 21. The judge imposed the mandatory surcharge of $375, poughkeepsiejournal.com said.
