Celebrations Honoring Veterans Take Place Around Dutchess County

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - Dutchess County's 10th Annual Veterans Appreciation Day event in Hyde Park on Saturday has kicked off several days of celebrations, honoring the veterans who have fought for our country.

County Executive Marc Molinaro joined federal, state and local officials at Saturday's Veterans Appreciation Day, which was highlighted by a medal presentation, recognizing the efforts of five local veterans.

This Wednesday, Nov. 11, Dutchess County will celebrate Veterans Day with an 11 a.m. ceremony at the Dutchess County War Memorial in Poughkeepsie. Both events will provide ample photo and human-interest story opportunities.
