Veterans Ceremony Graced By Youths From Wappingers Falls

WAPPINGERS FALLS, N.Y. -- Several speakers at Wednesday's Veterans Day Ceremony outside Wappinger Town Hall commented on the amazing turnout of young children.

"It's so energizing to see so many young people,'' State Sen. Sue Serino, R-Hyde Park, said. "This is our future."

Congressman Sean Patrick Maloney, D-Cold Spring, also commented on the participation of various local scout troops as well as an Army R.O.T.C. unit from Poughkeepsie. 

Several dozen members of Girl Scout, Boy Scout, Brownie and Cub Scout troops participated, leading the Pledge of Allegiance after the flag presentation by four members of Marist College's Army R.O.T.C. Color Guard unit.
